About the Kapatid Program
The Pilipino Student Association at Ohio State strives to foster a community for all members. One way we do this is through our family system, the Kapatid program!
WHAT IS IT?
Our Kapatid program is a fun and engaging way to make closer relationships to PSA members and find a mentor in the org. We pair an "ate" (older sister), "kuya" (older brother), or "kapatid" (older sibling, for those that feel more comfortable with a gender-neutral term), with an "ading" (younger sibling).
WHAT DO WE DO?
In addition to our Kapatid pairs, PSA has three families: Mabuti Tubig, Legacy, and Chicken Nut Bread. Throughout the year, we'll hold special monthly activities for families such as fam hangouts and Kapatid Bingo to gain points. This encourages friendships and time spent together within the families. The family with the most points at the end of the year will receive a PSA-funded family meal!
HOW DO I JOIN?
Around the start of each semester, we'll send out a form for Kapatid pairs. We'll match you with a kapatid based on similar interests, personalities, and preferences such as hobbies, music taste, etc.
You also have the opportunity to meet potential kapatids at our Kapatid Rush GBM! Be on the lookout for those dates in the Discord :)
